Has Skiing Been Pushed Too Far? “La Liste”

Has skiing been pushed too far?

Is Red Bull the one pushing it there?

“Swiss skier Jérémie Heitz is on a mission.

He selected 15 of the most beautiful peaks of the Alps that he’ll re-ski to illustrate the evolution of steep skiing over a decade.

We’re talking about real extreme skiing here – where the slightest mistake means you’ll end up as mincemeat at the bottom of the face. Many of those have never been skied after the first descent – so what he’s planning ain’t an easy feat…” – Red Bull

Samnaun, Ischgl and the Bregenz Forest

The new year starts literally with huge news: Several Austrian ski resorts are planning a gigantic winter sports area!
From 2020, to be built between the Bregenz Forest, Ischgl and the Swiss Samnaun one of the largest ski areas in Europe. More than 400 kilometres of slopes will be available to the winter sports fans in Vorarlberg and Tyrol without interruption. Whether this project is actually implemented, this remains to be seen.

Ski resort Kühtai

Crystal Ski Holidays

Situated at an altitude of 2020 m Kühtai is Austria’s highest winter sport village and, because of this, has best snow conditions from beginning of December till spring.

The slopes are next to the hotels, so no walking or driving is neccessary.
Kühtai is a special adventure for kids. Lots of establishments, for example the skischool, the ski kindergarden or the “wunderteppich” (special lift for kids) are exactly shaped to the requirements of young families.

Besides 30 km of ski and snowboard slopes, Kühtal excels in its great offer of ski tours.
Every Wednesday and Saturday from 19.30 to 22.30 night skiing possible.

I will be there until 16 January 2016 working with Austria Racing Camps on the special slope for Alpine ski racing training for Children, Youth, FIS and Masters.
