Instructing and Coaching

Currently I work in the Ski Centre in Sandyford, Dublin. There I teach all levels of skiing, from complete beginners to advanced skiers. I am also responsible for coaching race training on Sundays with young racers.

I am also a member of the Ski Club of Ireland where I also instruct  skiers of all levels. I am the head coach of  the “Mini’s” development squad. This squad consists of children from the ages of 6 to 12, who train once a week. I am also responsible for accompanying the young racers to indoor snowdome races in the UK and to international races in mainland Europe. I also bring the children to training camps in Europe,  mainly Austria. I have accompanied the Irish Youth Race Squad to the Trofeu Borrufa competition for two consecutive years.

I work with Austria Racing camps for parts of both their summer and winter season. Austria Racing camps is a well known training centre for alpine ski racers of all abilities based in Kühtai in the winter and Hintertux in the Summer. Here I am also responsible for not only ski training but also fitness training for the Athletes.

I enjoy working as a coaching and instructor. I love working with the young Irish racers as that is how I also started my ski racing career. I like giving back to the Ski Club as I feel they have aided to where I am now with my ski racing and coaching. Coaching is also beneficial for my own skiing as I can always learn something new when I work with other skiers. I want to develop ski racing in Ireland which is a big part of why I coach the young racers on a weekly basis and why I love being involved with their racing careers
